OBITUARIES 4 QUAD-CITY TIMES Monday, Davenport Albert Pauli Albert William Pauli, 86, of 2902 E. 18th Davenport, died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Runge Mortuary.

Burial Mr. Pauli will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital or First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, of which he was a member.

He retired in 1956 as owner and operator of Pauli's Florist, Davenport. Mr. Pauli married Dorothy Brachtel in 1930 in Rock Island. He was a member of Fraternal Lodge 221 AF AM, Kaaba Temple Shrine, Mohassan Grotto, Elks Lodge 298 and Moose Lodge, 28, and a 52-year member American Legion Post 26, all of Davenport. Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert, Elmhurst, and Wayne, Kalamazoo, six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

Julia Mendoza Julia T. Mendoza, 65, of 2703 Esplanade Davenport, died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital. Services will be Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at Runge Mortuary and 10 a.m.

He retired in 1970 as a superintendent of construction of Priester Construction Co. He had been employed at Tunniclif Construction Co. Mr. Jones married Elsie Schmidt in 1928 in Davenport. He was a member of Carpenters Union 166.

Mr. Groh died Saturday at Moline Lutheran Hospital. He retired from farming. He was a member of Philo Masonic Lodge and Congregational Church, both of Port Byron. Survivors include a sister, Viola Groh, Port Byron, and a nephew, Lee Armstrong, Long Beach, Calif.

Rock Island Sister Spencer Sister Mary Louise Spencer, 92, a resident of Villa de Chantal Convent, Rock Island, died Sunday at Franciscan Hospital. He received a master's degree from University of Illinois and was a member of Golden Kiwanis Club at Friendship Manor, Rock Island. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joanne Telleen, Moline; sons, Hugo, Mahwah, N.J.; Peter, Bethlehem; and Paul, Wilmington, 13, grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Signe Larson, Rock Island.

(AP) An 11-month-old infant was crushed to death when a teen-age boy climbed atop a tractor and caused it to roll over the baby, authorities say. The infant, Derek Balensiefen, was pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center on Saturday, about two hours after the accident, authorities said. Peoria County Deputy Coroner Dave Reynolds said a 13-yearold boy apparently caused the accident by releasing the clutch of a tractor at the farm owned by the infant's grandparents. Reynolds said he believed the teen may have been the infant's uncle.

Even the Davenport and Scott County Family is reaping the benefits by seeing its membership plunge curtailed, said Tom Myers, president.
